What is the Program?

The Greater Des Moines Recreational Activity Scholarship Program (GRASP) is a discount program for families to receive 50–75% off recreational activities offered through Des Moines Parks and Recreation. Activities include swimming lessons, family swim passes, bike rentals, boat rentals, youth sports programs, shelters, garden plots and a variety of others.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for GRASP, you need to be a resident living in the City of Des Moines and household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.

What documentation is required?

• Identification for all household members

• Proof of the last 30 days of income or previous year’s income

• Proof of Des Moines residency (current piece of mail)
